As January 23 will be the beginning of the Chinese new year and it will be the Year of the Dragon I'd like to suggest a Dragon showcase, or perhaps (if that's a bit too narrow) a Chinese Zodiac showcase.

Hi Think Draw. As I've been working on the 'Baby seal' pic this morning, I just realized we do not have an 'Animals' showcase. I now it may seem a bit over the hand to as for this, since we already had a pets, a dog, a bird and an inssect showcase already, but could you please consider it? Animals seem to be a source of inspiration for most of the TD-ers, so I'm pretty sure at least some would like the idea.

It seems to me a too much wide range... may be another class of animals, i.e. horses or cats or reptiles or wild animals...

anyway, we have other "animals" now (dragons), may be this showcase could be postponed.

Why not another Country? we had Italy, Egypt, and there are so many inspiring countries...!

Now, another suggestion - the next after this -
this year carnival is at the end of february (21 is mardi gras). Please, please, could we have a carnival showcase? It could be beautiful!

Hmmm...I think calling a dragon animal is a generous extension of the word since it's only based on the personification dragons have in some cultures (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dragon).
Still. I wouldn't mind having a showcase based on the animal groups. Even the most primitive would offer so much to study.

I've been thinking clowns or a circus showcase could be cool, so carnival runs along that line of thinking.
Also, food, cooking, sharing a meal is such an important social event where we connect with family and friends; it could be an interesting showcase. There is also the angle of social issues such as sustainance, hunger, obesity, dieting. I can imagine alot of interesting art as well as discussion on the topic.

I stress on the carnival showcase for the next - fron 8th to 22th of february (22th is mardi gras).

Thanks for the extra suggestions. We have fixed the next few, but will add a clothing/shelter/food showcase soon and will find an opportunity for the carnival one as well.
