For later in December I think the showcase should reflect Christmas Cards.
For October a Spooky themed showcase should be employed.
In November a showcase about sharing (Thanksgiving)

And for other occasions the almost monochrome showcase would be nice.

Just a selection of ideas - Steve

Please, please, can we have our normal 'Halloween' one [for my birthday ].. and

.. can we also have an 'Arthurian Legend' one, in honour of the new Gothic - e.g. King Arthur, Merlin, the knights of the round table, Lady of the Lake, the Holy Grail, etc., etc.

monochrome is good one
but we can also use
theme special
like only gothic ,or only beads
and also using only one color pattern in that

I think it would be fun to have a clothing showcase. Or maybe a book themed showcase. Why not have a camping one? That would be interesting.

In the UK we celebrate Guy Fawkes night or Bonfire night on the 5th of November, can we please have a showcase based on this holiday.

typical traditions include:
Penny for the Guy - A Guy Fawkes effigy is created out of straw/paper mache and displayed during the day in public usually by children, the public donate change to the kids based on how good the Guy is. (Old tradition not usually followed these days, but this I did when I was a child in the 70's) The Guy at the end of the day is added to a large bonfire and burnt usually with fireworks. (This also is an older tradition, these days due to public safety regarding fireworks displays are organised professionally)

Gunpowder, Treason and Plot: King James sat on the English thrown during the early 17th Century, in 1605 incensed by the Kings plan to install his daughter as head of the Catholic church, Jesuit Catholics plotted against King James and made a plan to destroy the Houses of Parliament using Gunpowder Barrels stored in vaults beneath the main building. Fawkes who had military experience was given the responsibility of installing the 36 barrels of gunpowder and preparing them ready to detonate.

An anonymous letter revealed details of the assassination attempt to the authorities and Fawkes was discovered guarding the barrels of gunpowder ready to carry out the plan.

The conspirators were arrested and eight of the survivors were sentenced to be Hung, Drawn and Quartered.

The prevention of this plot against the King has been celebrated ever since and has evolved into today's Bonfire/Guy Fawkes night on November 5th.

So for us Brits can we please have a Bonfire/Guy Fawkes themed showcase.

Thanks TD for the "book" showcase: I have a lot of them! I guess we can draw also the cover or the subject of a book, can't we?

I thought my impassioned plea and the long explanation would secure a Guy Fawkes challenge lol well guess I will have to settle on books, might be fun!
