hallo= HAH-lo
wie=WIH
geht=GET
es=ES
lhnen=LIH-nin
guten= GOO-en
tag= TOG

I thought of another question! The little bit I know of German I understood that 'w's were pronounced as an English 'v'?

sorry, I think when you say DANKE the other person can answer BITTE.

w is always pronounced like the English V but the German V is many times pronounced as the English F as far as I know. For example Beethoven would sound Be-e-to-fen.
