Yup, maddy--a pun. Baldur, I would contend the sound a Taser makes is losssserrrrr. Anyone rightfully zapped with one is probably not a stellar member of the human race. |

I always thought it sounded like BBBBZZZZZZ... Sheftali, I always thought a taser was just a thing that is electric at the end, not something that shoots little electric darts at someone..... |

my understanding is that it has a range of under 6 feet, and fires a conductive filament that needs to come in physical contact with the annoyance |

Maddy, I believe Baldur's description is correct, and that Matthew's sound effects are accurate, too. |

I'll add my two cents on tasers. The sound description is pretty accurate. I've seen them in action first hand. With an army recruiters office two doors down from my restaurant we get protestors a few times a year. One time the protestors decided they would start a fight with the police and besides dogs nipping some "arses" tasers were deployed. There are two parts to the taser. The officer can use it like a stun gun or use the full taser. It shoots out "barbs" attached to wires that stick into the body and zzzzzzzzzzap, down they go. Being in a police state during the G20 also afforded me the luxury of learning a few new stalinistic tricks so ask away if you like. |

Oh, so I WAS right! I was talking about the stun gun part, didn't know it could be switched over. |

I would like to thank my listeners for..... listening. Without you, my radio show never wold've made it to the Top 10 Radio Shows, or have so many comments. Personally, my favorite radio show is Channel Baldur. So thanks for listening! |

While we wait for maddy to find her muse perhaps I'll fill a bit of time to keep her channel from suffering from dead air (the most dreaded thing for a radio station!) |

Winter has shown up with a vengence here which always gets me grumbling as I'm definitly not a winter creature, but I've been trying to think of positive things about the winter season so as not to get myself and others down. Here's a few of the things I like about winter. |
