Things to love about winter--that nice snug feeling when you're outside with enough clothes on that you don't care how cold it is; seeing mistletoe in trees, now that the leaves are gone; blowing breath rings into the frosty air; sitting by a fireplace and watching the flames dance; browsing through seed catalogs and dreaming of the next garden.

Winter in snowy climes--
...seeing the bones of the earth for a while (perhaps it's getting the morning newspaper... no wait.. wrong thread)
...feeling the difference between just above and just below freezing in the very air you breathe
...smelling that tart/mellow/spicy scent of various woods burning in a fireplace
...hearing the crunch or squeak as you walk on different kinds of snow


Winter in So Cal--
...seeing the sparkle of clear blue skies instead of gray smoggy ones
...feeling deliciously cold enough to want to snuggle under a quilt instead of trying to find cool spots on the sheets when the air's hotter than a fever even at night
...smelling that odd ozone aroma when rain first lands on roads that haven't been rinsed clear in months
...hearing the crunch or squeal of cars trying to remember how to drive on slickness... (er.. sorry... wrong thread again?) ; >

It really bothered me about the IamMatthew thing coming from someone I like... But you don't know what I deal with with that sort of thing around here... So I forgive you...

Deleting other peoples pics (including mine)... Wow, that is mean and heartless... Still, I forgive you...

That said, I think you should be banned from this site for a period of time as punishment for what you have done... I hope you learn from this mistake...

Matthew, I think you're right and wrong. Maddy SHOULD get a punishment, but I don't know about temporarily banning her. Although,that is the only punishment
I can think of w/out being mean. So...I am neutral about that right now. :l

Punishment? Don't get it. We have all made mistakes here, including myself. It was wrong what she did, but no punishment. She has to live with herself, as all of us do. Some people are just more needy than others.
