I feel that the problem with nursery rhymes would be the comprehension. For example, here in Germany hardly anyone knows who or what humpty dumpty is. So they wouldn't be able to make ANY sense of an egg on a wall, therefore at times it will make rating/commenting harder as you can't judge how good a likeness it is or how a play on words works. And, of course, the same goes the other way around. If I come with some german rhyme, the rest of you, other than fellow Germans, would most likely not know the sense of it. |

Other suggestions (and I didn't go back through all posts to see if they've been suggested already, so sorry if there are repetitions) |

Made a pic for the 'plants' showcase (called 'Resting'). Despite its name, I thought the connection with the showcase was pretty obvious....why was it taken out?.. |

Back to an old idea - how do you feel about drawing pictures to songs? It's always been so much fun to do and seemed to be enjoyed by all. |

How about Myth & Magic |

Ooo, I love the idea of Myth & Magic. I also like kmkagle's suggestion of songs. The song titles showcase was one of the best ones yet. |

in my art class, we have to choose a famous artist and imitate their style. i am doing edgar degas, and my project involves drawing ballerinas with pastels. mabe a showcase you be based on interpretations of famous artists works? for example, someone could "redo" the mona lisa or other painting. |

I like song titles too! |

1 vote here for Nightmares... We've had springtime and plants, and lots of jolly holidays, so those of us inclined towards dark and surreal images have been kind of left out. But there's ample room for humor in 'nightmares', which could even be light and silly ones... |

I second the motion on "nightmare" by chelydra, but of course the "monster man" would say that. Hey we do need a little "dark side" once in a while. I think song titles or a "back to the melodies" showcase would be great. We redo holidays, etc. so it would be appropriate and does get a lot of participation in the challenges when done. |
