I'm still for the 'Animals' showcase. Surely, dividing them into cathegories is ok too. I made the suggestion based on two things: 1. there's plenty to explore (furr, colors, anatomy) and 2. the bird showcase is one of the best so far in my opinion (just take a look at the number of well-rated pics).

I thought drawing famous people in the latest showcase would prove beyond me, but you know what the pictures being produced are of such a high standard that I was forced to attempt things I would have previously passed on. Suzze, Mum23, Clorophilla and all of those other superlative artists on TD the regular crowd (you know who you are!) Thanks for raising the bar and pushing me to become more creative. P.S Showcase suggestions for 2011: 1. Reptiles (thought it would be interesting to re-create the myriad patterns of scales and shapes) 2. Ancient Mythology (wide subject) 3. Pets (Yes your favourite pet albeit Dog, Cat, Goldfish or Parrot - anything). So there are a few suggestions to wet the appetites and for Rachel and Gideon to think about. Take care everyone (Steve)

What about a "Communication" showcase?
It's very open-ended and you can interpret it in many ways...
Ways of communicating...technology...signs and symbols...talking...
I think that the responses to a showcase spotlighting communication would be very interesting.

And I like the animal showcase, but just a group at time (reptiles, rodents, as you like).
And I always be pleased with a Fantasy showcase!

To move this up over all the spam, and I still really like the animal suggestions for showcase though agree some category would be good. Like the idea of pets or opposed to that wild or exotic animals or fish would be fun.
