I have played guitar, flute & harmonica...

They each have their moments...

Baldur

Amazingly I have no musical talent at all, butI'd love to play the banjo if the music Faerie whacked me over the head with his wand.

If I could play a musical instrument, I would like to play the tin whistle ... I could take it anywhere with me. I would also love to be able to play the bagpipes ... Hey! Where have you all gone ... I would play Amazing Grace!

Oh, LOL, Login.. but do you have a kilt ??

.. just turn up and I'll be one of the ones leaving my drink behind and hiding the cats ..

unless you're hiding a haggis under your shawl ??

Baldur

I actually own a kilt, Wallace tartan

Now, why doesn't that surprise me, Baldur ?

Somewhat garish for my tastes (had to google it, 'cause it's a 'newbie' clan'), but if you're going to do a spot on Radio Baldur about how to position it, so that it just flounces nicely when you're doing a sword dance without revealing what's underneath, I'll be certain to tune in !

.. and may I just add, that there's NO bagpipe music in the sword dance, Login ..

If I could have musical instruments and play them my choices would be: Violin, Organ or Keyboard, maaaybe Guitar. I've begun collecting miniature violins, at christmas I have angels and violins dominating my tree! I enjoy bagpipes although I wouldn't want to be in a small room when they play due to my eardrums!

I played flute in school... have not picked one up since... Don't know if I could play a single tune... I doubt my wife knows I used to play...

When I married my husband, he had a piano. So I took lessons for 5 years.I've always played harmonica and love it. Our son plays trumphet. My husband plays nothing!! But my favorite instrument to listen to is a mandoyln. (sp)

Guitar... finger picking and/or slide style, including some blues and "slack".

Also dobro and banjo, but something about the sounds of a large acoustic 6 or 12 string guitar being the most itself that it can be (not strummed, imitating piano or losing itself too deeply in closed chords) just makes my heart sing inside.

I play the clarinet. was in a community band for years, up until last year, when i fancied a change. I should find somewhere else to play.

ooohhh - blades of grass do count!

As a kid I used follow the school janitor around every spare moment I could find. He whistled-- *twinkly grin* --opera!

Seriously, I am in awe of anyone who can play a musical instrument. I love to watch and to listen. I also think the human voice can be a beautiful musical instrument.

I'm sure you've listened to Britain's Got Talent! That was beautiful, I'm awe of the woman. She's so humble. I hope her dream comes true. I admire her courage to carry on after the laughing and such. God bless her.
