My picture sunset in the rigging, was a carefully prepared landscape for the cartoon showcase. |

Other pictures for example 1. A Pirate ship with scenic background. 2. A picture of Karl Marx. 3. A cottage by a stream (by myself) 4. An example of the median a mathematical term 5. A picture of Doctor Who's Sonic Screwdriver. 6. A cutaway of a typical front door (by myself) 7. A Car Interior using a play on words for Car Tune. There are a lot of examples like this and are it is the act of Hypocrites to remove my work for no valid reason. |

Hi Steve...can you communicate with Think Draw and see what |

I will not leave and I will not delete work for no valid reason. But when I do create a picture I expect a good explanation as to why it has been excluded from the showcase, when clearly other pictures in a similar vein are allowed to continue, I have no problem with those pictures or the artists the work is good...just why was my picture removed? |

I have left a message in feedback referring Think Draw to this forum post and requiring an explanation. I really would like to hear what other members think about this. Opinions are welcome and might help clear up this matter. |

'k, with the understanding that this is merely my opinion, not something I'm putting out here as researched referenced verifiable fact -- |

I did a political cartoon for the showcase and it was removed. I assumed that that since the showcase called for 'cartoons' and since political cartoons are by definition cartoons, there wouldn't be an issue. And it was no more or less offensive than the average political cartoon in the average mainstream daily paper. |

Just went to see sunset in the rigging. Very nice, but not what I would see as a cartoon and I don't think either of us need to complain. |

Well I guess you are entitled to your say, you saw my picture, did you vote for it? Pirate ships with scenic backgrounds are obviously more acceptable. Look I am expressing a view that sometimes there are double standards. If you think that I am being petty...that is your opinion! Why should I get beaten down it's not like I have much else! |

We just get it wrong sometimes! |

Thank you TD, I will ask for re-instatement of the picture, as for volunteers to moderate showcases, there would have to be a set of rules or guidelines otherwise it will cause more problems. Leave all of the pictures in place, most people will vote sensibly so that the highest votes will represent the showcase, on the odd occasion when this is not the case then exercise the right to choose what is appropriate. What do you think? |

Hey Steve I didn't mean that to sound like a glib put-down, just that the pic in question didn't seem to me any more or less like a cartoon than the average TD pic. I do take cartooning seriously, and I was enraged when I realized mine ('Obama endorses whaling') had been pulled out, but didn't seem like that big a deal in either case, on further reflection. My pirate ship is more-or-less- copied from Disney's P Pan, which seems to be closer than political cartoons to what they had in mind. |

Now I have gotten the result I wanted...I feel kind of sheepish for making such a fuss, I am sorry for being such an idiot. I just felt so angry about that picture being removed. I know (chelydra) that you never intended to insult me, I was in such a mood that I was itching to snap back. Sorry! |

Human, huh? Yeah, well then, where'd the alien name come from, huh? Looks Andromedan to me, or maybe Uranian. |

Does it? Looks ee & IT (electronics and computing) to me. Tho' relatively rare, it's been around for several years with a few small variants to tell apart the 3 or 4 of us who seem to use it most, but it's common as mud in eBay and the like... I'm Qsilv Weatherwax in Second Life, QsilvW in youtube and gmail and (by sheer good timing) plain Qsilv here in ThinkDraw and Flickr. As an abbreviation for quicksilver it's short and easy to type; spoken, most folks just call me Q. |

Firstly, hi ThinkDraw.. |

marg -- nope, I was saying that without a carefully chosen title, I'd expected that that series might get culled, but I did think they should stay in (and they did get re-instated). |

And I've been so proud of finally learning to spell, and remembering, your name, typing out "Qsliv" at every opportunity... sigh... |
