marg -- nope, I was saying that without a carefully chosen title, I'd expected that that series might get culled, but I did think they should stay in (and they did get re-instated).

The ram skull was pushing the limit by extending the definition of cartoon to include preliminaries for further paintings. (The horn looks sooo TD-element-ish... in watercolors it'd have a smoother, tighter-ringed, less bulky feel and yet still keep the graceful line).

Firstly, hi ThinkDraw..

I think it's great that the Showcase gets cleared out - and all anyone has to do is send you a quick feedback explanation to get their pic re-instated.

In the past, we've a) had people blatantly using the Showcase to make sure their pic gets noticed (with zero relevance - and an 'oh, sorry..' afterwards), and b) lots of new players add their pic by mistake, because they think that's what you have to do to get the pic to display in the gallery.

Secondly, Steve.. go for your life, mate - I was rapt that you chose to look at what a 'cartoon' actually is, and 'though I haven't had the chance to check through your recent drawings yet, I will as soon as poss, 'cause I think your stuff is great.

Qsilv.. whoops, sorry - but are you saying your 'golden mean', etc., fell into my a) category above ?

Does it? Looks ee & IT (electronics and computing) to me. Tho' relatively rare, it's been around for several years with a few small variants to tell apart the 3 or 4 of us who seem to use it most, but it's common as mud in eBay and the like... I'm Qsilv Weatherwax in Second Life, QsilvW in youtube and gmail and (by sheer good timing) plain Qsilv here in ThinkDraw and Flickr. As an abbreviation for quicksilver it's short and easy to type; spoken, most folks just call me Q.
