How about more color options in that category? |

matthew you tend to shun the easy things anyway. I could picture you piling thousands of eyelashes because 1/9th of the left edge of each was an odd mauve color jusy so you could do a background for a poledancer. |

All new themes are always welcome, I'm still looking for the pasta theme I suggested;-) |

Have you sorted the gallery lately, by Faces - Most Ratings? There are some amazing drawings in there. Faces certainly is difficult to use but some (many) have used it brilliantly. The difficulty of the category has stretched the imagination, not to mention skill. |

Have you seen how raydog's drawings have changed lately? He's always done good floral drawings, but he's branched out and done a sailing ship ... perhaps that lull in the gallery inspired him. |

I did see this, I wasn't familiar with his work and it caught my eye, very nice. |

I have been wondering about a landscapes theme; fall foliage (yellow, orange, red),blooming trees (white, pink) mountain pieces (snow, shadow rock) or not, sky pieces (blue shades, gray shades, clouds, sun, and sun set pieces), water (green, blue gray, pond, ocean waves, shining in the sunlight), fields (green, hues, gold), shrubbery (variations in light/shadow). this would give the more expert artists hues and shades to use, as well as a full color spectrum. this is why I choose my palette: for color needed and ability to shade on a more graded scale. for these things natural palettes tend to lend themselves to a more realistic product. where only hard edges are available one gets a more graphic cartoony feel. there is a place for that, but it is tough to soften that work. I think that this theme would also work well for younger artists learning by offering a variety of color and shape to work with. food for thought. |
