May I suggest that the number of pictures submitted within any 24 hours be limited to (3-5) to avoid saturation of the site, therefor affording reasonable time for each submission to be viewed before being moved on. |

This is a good idea- it would allow some restriction in the pics posted to allow some "serious" pics to be seen more, but I think it should be more like 5-7 in a 24 hour period. There have been times where people put out more than 3-5 serious pics in that time so I think some, but not a lot, of restriction is needed here. |

First off I think a distinction between 'serious' pictures and all others is never a good thing. |

I agree, Baldur. It's in the playing around and experimenting that much learning takes place, and not just for the children here. Limiting the opportunity to do that would be a mistake, I think. |

My comments which seem to have initiated this debate were not directed to or about children which seems to be suggested but were simply intended to make the site more accessible to everyone. |

My mention of children was just an example of one group of people who would be impacted by the proposed limits. It would make the site less accessible to people who want to post multiple pictures. |

I understand, pinkie, and have found it frustrating too, on occasion, to search for the gems among pages of quickies (and occasionally gems) done by only one or two people. The 'recent popular pictures' page goes a long way to addressing this issue, as only a few people need to vote for a noteworthy picture in order to make it appear on that page, and not get lost in the gallery if it's moving fast. I think it works well... |

may be it can be allowed only for a limited number of picutres (i.e. 6-7) to appear in the same page of gallery... Anyway, I think that any solution could be unfair for some tipology of drawer... |

It can be frustrating at times, pinkie ... but there is another way to bring up the best of 'this week' - 'last week' - 'last month'. When I say 'the best' I mean 'top rated'. OK, 'top rated' are not necessarily 'the best' but will include a high proportion of the most noteworthy drawings at the top of the pile. |

I think 'serious' pictures should always be restricted. Let's have more light-hearted pics and instead of a Top 5, a Bottom 5. |

Please no restrictions - on my days off, as it has been pointed out to me, I am very prolific. I really dislike the judgments of "serious" art. This site has allowed many styles - can you imaging Van Gogh being limited here for not being a serious painter? |
