Thanks Q for passing the baton.

The challenge here is not to be fixed on a final image when you start.

Just play with the pieces and see what comes out. The looser you start out the better. Play with color combinations, line combinations, whatever and when you see something developing in front of your eyes, go ahead and push it in that direction for your final picture.

This might fit the challenge. I started with the idea of overlapping colours until I realised that I'd missed the final date for the overlapping challenge so I just continued to see what would develop instead.....

I hope you don't mind me showing a doodle I did before Christmas. It was the first time I had just wanted to throw a few pieces in no particular order into the frame and see what developed. I had no idea at the time what fun it could be to blindly create and watch a picture develop and it almost felt like it created itself. I was so pleased and very suprised with the result.
