Whether you like to draw things or people or abstracts - you are hereby challenged to create an artful or amusing interpretation of "Before and After.

You can capture both concepts on a single canvas, -OR- use two separate canvases. (Post both at the same time) If a little explanation is needed, that's okay too!

The winner will be chosen on Monday, December 20th. Have fun!

:) Jenni

I was *going* to start with an apple pic I already had as the "before", then use this for the "after". But in trying to hide some background mess... I inadvertantly ended up with one canvas serving both concepts! Voila.

These are by 2 different artists, and ended up side by side in the gallery. My brain WANTED them to be related... so the intended scorpion somehow morphed into the skier... head first into a pile of snow.

Hi jennifk... interesting challenge!

http://www.thinkdraw.com/picture.php?pictureId=127648

Mine is sort of a triple experiment (typical of me... heh heh) ...partly an exercise in working with a single piece of lunartics (well, ok, two angles, but only one size), partly a portrait for Showcase (which is why I haven't titled it yet), and partly (I hope) a single pic in which you can watch PlayBack and see the face gathering age.

Well, in some way each animated pic could be "before and after" and fit this challenge. So, you have to play the playback here!

I loved everyone's entry. It was awesome to see the different paths people took the concept. Thanks for your creativity!!!!

I have two favorites. The first is clorophilla's Michael Jackson. So much time and talent had to go into these portraits. They are great likenesses of the man I used to daydream of marrying (back in 1984). Chlorophilla, your talent is amazing and I appreciate you sharing it with us.

My other favorite is zum117's mermaids. There is so much I love about this entry. I love the pride in her city, the humble display of her early work, the vulnerability and generosity of spirit necessary to share these parts of herself. When I look at zum's pics, I feel connected on a very human level with her and everyone here at TD. I hope everyone was able to see her progress, remember their own, and look forward to what the future might bring.

And so.... for sweet emotion and hope in the future, I choose zum117 as the winner of the challenge!

Congratulations, zum! And thank you. ♥
