First of all--congratulations to everyone who made top 5. And to everyone in general. There is such overwhelming talent here, and I'm happy and honored to be a part of it.

And secondly...for crying out loud mum...get your butt back here and draw! The reason you have so many pictures in the top 5 is because WE voted for them. And the reason that we vote for your pictures is because we love you and your talent. If you like Think Draw, then stay and continue to dazzle us. Don't punish yourself for being sooooooo good at what you do. We certainly aren't.

I love your art. I play your pictures back over and over again to learn from your techniques. Your presence here enriches the experience for the rest of us. The same goes for every single other artist in this community.

So don't you go anywhere. Just stay here and keep on doing what you're doing.

Mum, I wish you more continued discovery of your talent in your drawing offline. I understand what you mean about feeling like you are at the beginning of discovering what you can do, regardless of what anyone else thinks and how positively they may rate your drawings. It's great to discover that one has a previously unrealized talent, and there's so much room to grow moving forward. Ultimately, you are your most important and hopefully most influential reviewer/critic.

Your drawings have earned their Top 5 status and you should not feel badly about that at all. Take this honor for what is is -- a reflection of others' enjoyment and pleasure in looking at your pictures -- and not as "undeserved" or "deserved." If it makes you feel better, go ahead and ask for a moratorium on people voting on your pictures -- ask them to just comment. There are some TDers who only comment, anyhow. I am sure a lot of us will respect your wishes.

I do hope you will not quit or reduce your time playing on TD because of a comment made by someone (who can be a bit tongue in cheek, btw, and may well have just been trying to encourage you to keep going). I gather from your comments on your pic that you felt your integrity was being questioned. That can be deeply painful. I can see how you would read the comments as questioning you; however, from time to time, on TD, we have seen other comments get misconstrued. Even if you did understand the comment correctly, your integrity is as strong as it ever was because integrity comes from within.

Keep drawing, here or otherwise, and keep us posted on how it is going.

Hi mum - let it be!
I wrote that thing about "embarrassing" bc it's the same I felt last month when i too had so many pics in TD. I too don't know very well how to face with praises, in some way I tend to see why I *don't* deserve them, instead of why I *do* - or to see where the other persons deserve them more than me.

Sometimes is more difficult to receive gifts than to give them. I'm trying to learn how to do. Sometimes I have simply to say "thanks" and accept - people that voted me deserve my thanks and not my apologizing...

that's is not a question of more or less ability, but it's about more or less positive emotion you can evoke from people - also if you didn't want to.

So, please keep drawing on TD every time you feel the need and the joy to do, and so you'll keep sharing your joy with us, with or without votes!

first of all congratulations to all top 5's !!you all are great! you all give emotions and joy for the eyes and spirit.
And then you MUM, if we vote you it's because you give much to us, our fantasy, our hearts, our eyes!!if you deserve to b e top 5 in more pic., this is just right. We all learn from each other, and talent cannot be hidden, you have it, and like us you've learned more and more, used your brain in a different way. Do what ever else you are pleased with, but TD is such a great place to be, to give, to receive, it can only add tools, colours, taste, to your talent and our lives!!!

I’m overwhelmed and humbled by this response from all of you… I thought I’d chosen my words carefully enough to not draw too much attention… and I deliberately didn’t mention the comment.

For me, there are two separate issues here (five, bless you – you understand both of them). I won’t bore you with details, but just want you to know how much I appreciate your words of support – I’m deeply touched.

TD, the art here, but most importantly, all of you… meant a lot to me… that is now even truer. I’m not going anywhere, but what’s going on for me at the moment makes it difficult to draw.

Again, thank you. What an amazingly kind and wonderful community this is! I’m so glad to be here with you…

Mum23 if you stop drawing here I hope it is because you have found something that you love and enjoy doing that is taking your time away from TD and not the fact that you get alot of votes and Top 5's. You get votes because you are GOOD!!
