Not sure if this is legit or not... I did start out with the idea of a rose, and of course I know how they're formed... basic structure... plus I knew I wanted to play with purple and pink and gold... but I wasn't at all sure how it would develop. For quite a while it was just a blobby mess. So I just kept tinkering with color and, eventually, mass. Eventually I allowed myself to sharpen things up with more than just little rounds.

I've done a bunch of pure doodles before in TD, but they always turned into abstracts. The idea of turning it into a realistic image, like seeing a face in the clouds, is trickier isn't it...

Intriguing challenge, five... I'll have to play with it more.

hm... again I started with a basic idea - the cat, in exactly this pose (well I saw my own cat doing it, with the light coming this way) - so this doesn't properly fulfill the challenge. The amount of doodling that went into putting it together and building the background however is huge, not planned at all, just grew.

ok... I *think* this is true doodling... picked a palette... rotated all the pieces til I had just ones that felt happy... got interested in that rich little eye... began to repeat it just to see if it could be made to appear a bit larger (it couldn't)... felt like seeing the pair in a tilted way that they weren't meant to go... sort of impinging on the "4th wall"... realized I was enjoying kind of "sculpting" with the soft blends... discovered an awfully cute kitten looking at me rather winsomely... but when I tinkered with its mouth it suddenly assured me it was a terrier pup... I'm not into terriers, but figured I might --MIGHT-- be able to add silky spaniel-y ears and still keep the cute... especially if one ear did that perky flopped up thing they do sometimes... refused to allow myself to Undo any piece I'd actually laid down, but spent an unholy amount of time hovering a lot of the pieces in place withOUT laying 'em down... lol
