You are very welcome, Polenta. Hope you will enjoy the links.

you're a darling Shanley.
Of course we don't have the u with diacritics in Spanish and neither the ts or sh. Thanks for all this. I love languages.

Another radio station link in case 'Kiss fm' is 'busy with English': http://www.europafm.ro/ press the 'Asculta online' button.

Polenta, Romanian alphabet is a modification of the Latin one. It contains five more letters (diacritics). They are consonants and semi-vowels (vowels with a very closed pronounciation). I have copy-pasted below some explanations regarding their pronounciation.
ă = Una "a" muy cerrada, casi como "u".

î, â = Como la "ü" alemana (diptongo "iu").

Å£ = Como "ts".

ÅŸ = Como "sh".
I found this site that might give you an idea about our language: http://www.romanianlessons.com/
Also, I thought it might be useful to give you a link to a local radio station:
http://www.kissfm.ro/ . Press the 'Asculta Kiss Fm ' button. Of course, there's a pretty good chance the first words you'll here there will be in English (this station plays mostly MTV music, but don't worry, there's always commercials , lol. ). I hope you enjoy hearing this.

Shanley I understood the words SIMPLE PLACE IDEEA CRED TOTI and MOLTE.
Despite this, if it weren't for you I wouldn't have understood the whole sentence. Anyway, I would say the percentage of words I could recognize in such a short sentence could indicate that at least it wouldn't be SO HARD to understand with one or two years of study.
When you say Romanian has more letters, do you mean SOUNDS or letters of the alphabet? You use the Latin alphabet, don't you?
Are they vowels?
