I know it's not the same location, but this just makes me want to whistle the tune to the hovis commercial!

Thanks all. Puzzler, it IS the Hovis advertisement location. The ad was done with a Yorkshire accent so, when I came across this beautiful place, I recognised it but didn't believe it could be the same place.

When I looked around me and found a big Hovis-shaped waste bin, it dawned on me that it really was the same hill. It has a cobbled street that is so steep that you only want to go down and up again once. I love going there ... the views out over the Black

I don't know how that slipped in there twice.

By the way, this is only one quarter of the hill.
15. puzzler wrote:
Thanks Login, that explains it. Don't suppose Yorkshire folk were that pleased!!
16. Login wrote:
Well the voice over was done by Joe Gladwin: 1975-1987. He played the part of Walter Batty in last of the Summer Wine ... so maybe Yorkshire folk enjoyed it for his presence.
17. Login wrote:
Sorry, those dates apply to the years he was in the Summer Wine series.

this is just superb.. but I've just realised the horrible limitation on Favourites, and can't select it without replacing something as equally brilliant, like your 'hush, I'm thinking'
