Dear Think Draw..

Could we possibly have a space for a personal message to other TDers on our profile page ?

I've just added one in the 'About me' section, but I think lots of people would like the option of posting a separate comment if they're going to be away for a time, or have something [polite ] to say to everyone.

What does everyone else think ?

(casting a side-long guilty look Rachel-ward, cuz I know how much work is involved in making changes...)

I agree...

BUT...

I also think a higher priority change would be to upgrade the forum bbs (bulletin board system) to include all the standard features such as SEARCH (by people as well as by keywords, dates, etc) ...this could be moderated or not.

Meanwhile, marg's solution of using the "About me" works sweetly. Main drawback is that not everyone will notice it.

Perhaps an easy & effective solution is to create a "wasted" pic that's clearly a headline for a message to us all. The full message goes into the first comments then, AND we get to comment back! Acts like a little answering machine for you to go thru at your leisure.

It'd be helpful to include the date as part of the title so that's visible at a glance without having to click to get at it.

It's a nice idea, Marg, but it's not a priority I believe (let's not forget the 'save?' warning message for misclicks and the kid's top5...somehow i tend to belive it's starting to be a necessary move. They do deserve their spot of fun, don't they?).
Q's ideas about 'implementing ' the personal message space are very good (as usual ). There's always the mail option too. (It doesnt have to be the personal mail added to the profile, just an account created for this ..some artists already have such a thing).
