Thinkdraw, I thought it would be nice if there was a top 5 for people who have never had a top 5 before. anybody here support this? Cause lots of people have had great pictures that have been long forgotten because there #6. I believe I have one of them by me here,

brigsis, I think it would make a valuable project for someone (not TD, but one of us... like, um, you?) to go through and create such a display. And put it in the Community forum, not Feedback, of course.

There are actually two or three different lists of that ilk that might be especially interesting.

One would be exactly what you've described (if I'm understanding this right) -- people who've never had a Top 5 before. To be accurate, you'd have to start way back at the beginning, almost two years ago.

As long as you're back there, a second way of looking at the votes would be to create the list of Top 5 winners for each month based strictly on Most Votes, rather than that Highest Average thing that was used originally. Remember, the averaging system let good pictures get vetoed by a single lower-than-5 vote, even if that pic had dozens of votes... while a pic with only a handful of votes but all 5's would stay on top.

The gallery COULD show us that, IF the filters were able to select by year and month, but they aren't set up like that.

(I do like that satin-stitch brocade quality in your 99374, btw)

Qsilv, would you mind commenting on "The Cliff" by me, I'm trying to get my first top 5. .

enjoy creating your works but don't try to win anything.

"The cliff" is excellent!
Being only 11 and doing what you do and writing the way you do.... you are a TOP 5 brigsis.

(psst... brigsis? that comment I made about satin-stitch a couple posts up in this thread? that 99374 number IS your drawing "The Cliff".. and I'd already left a vote earlier. In general, it's more effective to just stay in the public eye by being helpful than by asking for votes. This is true in TD and other forums too.)

All ... fyi, I tend to nip in and out pretty quickly these days... leaving a generous enough sprinkling of 5's in my wake, never fear. Just not commenting much.

Please be patient with my current ways and trust that I'll find some real time again soon's I can.

Thx

If we had top 1 top 2 top 3 top 4 and top 5 then more people could get chosen and if they didnt they should at least put us in something close or at least saying good job because we don't get rewarded and i've been wanting to get in the top 5 but i dont think i will

wow... well you will if you keep exploring the connections between your eyes and your hand like this!! Seriously, Sarah, this is pretty good work. The overall first feeling is excellent.

Why not try gridding? It's just a trick... but a powerful one.

If you lay a plastic lid or something over a picture, and that plastic has a nice even grid of lines on it, you can keep track of whether your drawing is beginning to creep a little too far left or right or up or down.

Eventually you can just build a grid like that in your mind.

I use grids :] and yes, they're very handy indeed, but I don't use them for ThinkDraw, the thought of it never came to mind. Hmm...

Chinky, you're back. Please, we need your art!!!

i dont use grids on here... but we really need to have everybody at least in the top 5 tht would make them exited to create more than to give up.... sometimes i feel like that but i pull through it

Or at least let people give u advise!

I'm sort of on a break from Thinkdrawing lol. Well, I haven't found the time to Thinkdraw anyways... My drawing course at school has been taking over my life the past... since January, lol. So just to be clear, I haven't left, and Login, no you didn't offend me of any sort :].

The creation is... if it wasn't, it wouldn't be... to want more than the is, is to lean towards the wasn't...

Matthew is into such philosophy that he isn't drawing at the time?
What's up?

I think he's hooked on a game on Facebook. (They're ridiculously addictive you know!)
