It should be nice to know something more about the places in the present showcase. Please, add some information (mainly WHERE is exactly these place?) or link, bc not all the people knows the local names of town and in what nation or continent is located!

http://www.thinkdraw.com/picture.php?pictureId=92784 My first pic for this showcase is based on a small detail that I enjoy very much in Mangalia: the white houses reflecting the sun and the stone constructions meant to protect the local people from the burning sun. Mangalia is a small town on the Black Sea's coast, 40 km south from Constanta (the second biggest city in Romania...uhm...Europe that is). Although it's not my hometown, I spend at least a month there each year. The town was built on the ruins of a Greek colony once named Callatis. It's a touristic harbour now and there's a 7 days festival each summer there, around the 15th August. Well. I think this is more than anyone wants to know,lol.

Yes Chlorophillia - great idea 'cos most people on TD seems to be USA based. My pictures were of the Steel City, Sheffield UK; then the Angel of the North is a huge statue just off the A1(M) Motorway in Gateshead, Tyne & Wear County, UK. I did this because my husband hails from these parts. Hope this information helps.
