Okay TD folks. Here it is!

It would be great, really, really great if we could download the entire TD drawing app to our local computers. (Including all theme elements)

The idea here is to recompile your java/activex stuff into a Windows .exe or Mac whatever and make it available for download so we could have TD on our local computers with endless save drafts and edit capability on our projects.

There would be an associated Upload function for finished projects to get them back to the TD site.

I have spotty interent right now and work on a laptop quite often. I would love, love, love to edit, re-edit save multiple copies, save templates, etc... to work on later.

The template is a particularly nice idea. If I want to spend the time to make solid yellow background in Faces I'd love to have that as a starting point for other images as well without having to go through it all over again.

I only suggest this because I think it would not be difficult. Am I wrong.

Anyone else interested in something like this?

Later,
Ron

...Then we do the hokie pokie & turn ourselves about?

...To the best of my knowledge, all my computer can do is play solitaire & draw pics...

...What is this strange speak coming from Ron?

Hey, Ron..
.. why not just create the solid yellow background and then save it as a draft ?
If you want to re-use it, just open two windows, load it into both, play with one & submit it and then save the other one as draft ?

.. and hey.. I admit I didn't read all of your suggestions.. my mind immediately picked up on matt's hokey-pokey..

.. abject apologies !

marg, you rock! Opening it in two windows is brilliant! You could also save a half done draft that way, and do a new picture in the same media. (I think; I haven't tried it.) As long as you didnt save a draft of the new one.

Ron - I think I understand what you mean, if it's what I think, wonderful idea!

Ron this would be wonderful ... then I would be able to start on all my "projects" I wish to and do a little of each at a time instead of focusing on one so hard I get bored with it... not to mention working without the internet...

(I have no idea how hard this would be to pull off.... though I know it is possible...)

and Luna and Marg go read the first few posts of T&T to get an idea of a few things you can do to start out with a template which is saved...

I would love to be able to save more then 6 things though...

*can't figure out what portion of pollyesther's post needs the +c added*

*is rather hyper on chocolate*

*read up on the process about this*

They would have to compile the files and such in an .exe file.... and then have a way to submit it.... I have yet to look in the interfacing.... it seems possible... but it would take work :s

The real question is ... would you be able to load a piece of art here and then keep editing it... or would you only be able to save it...

If they do think about this I hope they go for the editing here then submitting....

(just a random suggestion...on this...)

oh wow... how'd I miss this one?

Ron!!! ...yes, I've been wishing for this for ages. Even tho I've got a (knock wood) excellent connection, there are times when I travel... and for a lot of other folks it'd be handy beyond belief.

TD's connected with jigsawdoku and websudoku, remember... and it just so happens that websudoku has for some time now made the enticing offer--

Play Offline and Full Screen with Web Sudoku Deluxe!
