I tried to open this wanderful picture of chompersaurus:

the little view is ok, but the large one is damaged - it appears as if it is unfinished. Have you the same problem too?

Same here with many pics that have lots of layers. Espically this pic, also many others have the same with this pic!!

five

hmmm -- maybe they reduced the overall number of pieces any one image could have?

I see the same unfinished picture...too bad. Thank goodness the
small one is intact. I think five may be right.

I remember someone else having a similar problem with thiers (Chinky maybe?) A I recall they appealed to the Powers That Be (namely Rachel) and she fixed the problem.

Well, basically after like, 2 weeks from posting a pic that used an abundance of pieces; i.e: inked_gemini's candy downtown, my untitled for now and prom, and chompersaurus's hyori lee; the pics start showing up to the point where the playback ends. No clue as to why, but it just does...

....sorry, on my system they still don't.

This was experimented with a few months ago by folks working on extending animation... that limit was around 90 seconds as I recall it.

But it's a number-of-pieces issue, not really time per se, and that limit seems to be around a thousand pieces.

What I'm not at all sure of is how much this is impacted by the server and how much by our own client systems (likely the processor and/or graphics card).

I do remember that the very first time I ever saw Chinky's untitled one, it did load fully... but from the first time I asked it for playback it never has again.

Sorry for the problem. The pictures just had too many shapes and not all the data was stored properly for the playback. I am afraid there is nothing we can do about these older pictures, but we have increased the limit and should catch any problematic pictures in future before this happens.

Thanks Rachel for your quick answer, but anyway... shouldn't the screen tell us when we run out of pieces or better a little bit before
