Yes, Bravo to all! I have had some computer issues over the past several weeks and hadn't seen many of these pics until now. I am blown away by the talent! But it also makes me wonder what other masterpieces I missed that just didn't make top 5. RATS!

I don't remember any RATS... a field mouse though...

Congratulations to all, all the winners including those who didn't make it to December Top 5.
Every time I show someone this site telling them how this website and its drawings work, their astonishment reminds me of how after some time, we take the beautiful TD pics for granted.... but if we think it over.... WE SHOULD BE AMAZED AT PEOPLE'S ART ON TD.
So congratulations to all, including new people and our well=known super=excellent artists who, no matter what rules we have ,cross the barriers and they always have drawings in Top 5.

Congratulations to everyone - and it always amazes me how many brilliant pictures I missed, when the Top 5 is released !

However, the rating system is still not quite right, so here's one that definitely should have made it (and although I like my 'dance' pic, it should never have made Top 5) :

a superb picture by danila :

and this one, by buckeye2, which should have made it to the new artists' Top 5, except that their joining date was ages ago..

Congratulations to all the Top 5 artists. I was amazed at the amount of quality and quirky artwork in December. So many wonderful pictures. So many portraits. You can tell everyone is trying to become better and learn from other's techniques.

I agree with Marg -- both Danila's portrait in fruit and Buckeye2's shore-scape in candy are superior examples of what can be done with the medium here, as is a strong work by Heidi2323 in flowers:

http://www.thinkdraw.com/picture.php?pictureId=74869

...as far as I'm concerned personally, my tiger in fruit was simply a copy of Matthew's, so it's pretty but merely a derivative piece and not especially worthy...

...and my baby in red flowers is cute but really a toss-away sketch that took little planning and less actual work.

The other three portraits of mine that placed this time are original and they do represent solutions to problems I set for myself to solve, so I'm over the moon delighted that you guys liked 'em enough to not only vote but also offer me the kindest, most insightful comments! THANK you!

You folks make my drawing feel like less of a waste of time and more pure joy. I appreciate you all more than I can figure out a non-mushy way to tell you.

Yes, a big congrats to all the winners, and near winners too. Love them all!
(Am wondering, is this the first time for this particular "style" of portraits in animals? Sorry, not sure where else to ask this.) : )

Oh, Solange, I am so sorry to hear about your loss. It has got to be devastating. Please know I am thinking about you and hope you are okay. TD may be a good place to work out the grief. Personally, if I am not eating, I am drawing as a release from day to day encumbrances. Wishing you the best....
