i like to use zoom when i draw, but now there's no (h) scrollbar which makes it difficult.

pollyesther - if I understand what you're saying, when I'm in draw and right click on the canvas zoom in, zoom out appears.

I never knew this!!!!

I use the right click but and it enlarges the screen within the same frame and there is no scrollbar to slide the image over, so it's of very limited value.
You had a scrollbar?

The problem I have with enlarging the canvas is that I can't access the pieces to the right of the screen while i have the canvas dragged to the left and vice versa. I need the cursor to do two things at once to make the enlargement useful.

OMG...I never knew you could do that!!
Baldur, once I tried this I could drag the screen around to access the pieces. I haven't tried to draw anything that way so I may not be as easy as it first seems.

Ahhh but try to use a piece from the right column in a location on the left of the canvas, I don't think it can be done.
The more you enlarge the screen the more limited the area is

I'm glad I was able to help every one by letting them know this.

You did good kmkagle, I had assumed everyone knew about this already.
I'm not very good with computers or anything technical so when I figured this out it never occured to me that everyone else didn't already use this function

This is the first anyone's taken my advice. I'm not being smart either. I try pass on something if it helps! Glad it did!

i like to use that function too, but the zoom im talking about is the zoom in the status toolbar in my browser (at least i think thats what its called) in the bottom right corner (normally at 100%)which makes me think that maybe it is one of my settings.

the reason i liked the one in the browser is because i did have a horizontal scroll bar, but now it is gone:(
the only thing that made me think it was think draw was that i have it still with other sites but i don't know much about this stuff. I'll have to check and see if it works with other flash stuff, because i think i only checked on regular images

pollyesther, I use the zoom you are talking aboutand stillhave bothe the H&V scroll bars.

At 150% I can see all my pieces and all my options.

Did that help?

I can access the zoom but not the scrollbar. Any suggestions?

What Solo is speaking of is... At the top toolbar, locate the "page" drop down & choose zoom @ 150%...

@ least that is with my version of I.E.

'k, it may be worth mentioning here that there are two kinds of 'zoom' we're dealing with--

Flash zoom --right click inside the picture area

Browser zoom --Mozilla Firefox & Microsoft Internet Explorer (Mac has something similar but I'm not familiar with the commands)

The browser zoom gives you way more control over your visible field, and you can activate it either of two ways--
1. by clicking the top toolbar as Matthew says (in Firefox, click View, then click Zoom, then click Zoom in or Zoom out)
or...
2. by holding down the Control key while typing the = sign (which is also the + sign) to zoom in, however many steps you want to go.
and holding Control while typing the - sign (which is also the underscore sign) to zoom out, again however many steps you want to go.

Holding Control while typing the 0 (zero) returns everything to normal all in one step.
