I am almost afraid to express myself freely on this sight...I have found that this sight has fallen prey to the same problems that most societies also fall to.

Again, I know that many of you do not know me, will never know me, or might not want to know me, but I am human and like being respected as one... as I "assume" everyone else would appreciate also.

I know in a perfect world there would be no problems. Unfortunetly, as we all know the only perfect word is in Nursery Rhyems, Fairytales, or Dreams. (So sad to say I must admit).
There are always going to be difference in opinions, there is always going to be right and wrongs, and there is always going to be good and evil.

In my opinion, the only possible answer for peace would be that every single living creature on this planet ( or other planets that we don't know of yet...LOL) would have to accept the fact that everyone has the right to their own thoughts, opinions, feeling, or actions. This does not mean that we all will agree or appreciate what is said or done, not feel hurt or offended, and or forget or accept what offends us.

HMMMM...maybe by starting with ones self? Maybe, by tolerence?, maybe by ignorance?, or just absence? PEACE will never have one single answer! I think that might be the only situation where all would agree.

The bottom line of all of this is that, in over 2000 years the World has not been able to accomplish PEACE, but has been able to come to a somewhat civil existance.

There are still going to be wars, there are still going to be catastrophies, but remember that ones personal beiefs, and actions will BE "their" FINAL JUDGEMENT AND YOUR WILL BE "your" JUDGEMENT.

My wishes to all on this site are "TREAT OTHERS AS YOU WOULD WANT TO BE TREATED YOURSELF." , SMILE, and ENJOY EVERY MOMENT YOU HAVE TO THE BEST OF YOUR ABILITY!!!

Kstanley...

Don't get me wrong - even for a moment.

I agree. I do.

But the world of today IS the worl we live in.

What happens to this ideal when someone points a gun at your child?

Ron, you must be a history buff! I use to feel like Kstanley, until my son was attacked, and my husband said the same thing to me! We can only find peace in the after world!

As a mother of two small children, this is a greatest fear. I myself live in a subrub of Pittsburgh, PA and daily think of the possible evils that lurk.
I try to educate my children of the reality of life, but try to encourage them for hope of a peaceful future. Trust me it is not easy. There are days that I refuse to sit outside on the pourch, let the kids play in the front yard, walk the dog around the neighborhood, or dare to leave any personal belongings in sight or open for other to take advantage of. But in all reality who is recieving the greatest satisfaction? The ones that are causing the fear, caos, and annimosity? Or the people who now guestion every single freedom that has been fought for?

I know that I have a stange perception of life. My family has been stricken with personal tradgedy after tradgedy, but does that make me want to recipricate the fear, pain, or uncertainies? In my case NO. In some YES. I can see both sides.
