so being a newbie to thinkdraw, i was a little confused by the "no vote" campaign and some of the comments over the last few days. i just read what seemed to be a mountain of back posts on these voting threads and it stands to reason that there is a fair amount of bullsh*t going on right now, and i think it's sad that it has become the focus. i have seen some great pictures and some amazingly creative tactics employed by many of you, so i choose to focus on that instead of the d.r.a.m.a.

fair play to all involved- hopefully you can sort it out so we can put that baby to bed. if there are people out there being scandalous, maybe they should reconsider why they come to this site.

All this d.r.a.m.a. as you call it made me have to come to the Forum, which I never do. I have some questions.
Whose website is this? Are there rules ? Who sets the rules? Who pays for the site? At least I don't. What's the purpose of this website? Should there necessarily be a Top 5 section, which by the way, it's only FOUR pictures chosen for each category? The only thing I know for sure is what Rachel (everybody speaks about her, I don't really know her) has written when we click ABOUT TD. It says it's a place inbetween art and a puzzle and it's connected with a Sudoku website.
Apart from that I see that the site is very democratic and lets everybody get into the gallery, if not ,I personally wouldn't have been accepted because drawing and painting is so new to me. Consummate artists are shown beside beginners or doodlers. I thought that was how this worked in this site. When all this stops, I'll say WHAT I LIKE ABOUT THIS SITE and it has nothing to do with Top 5. I like Top 5 but if Top 5 makes us brothers and sisters of this community fight so much.....

...If you only see 4 pics per row in the top 5 or other pages in the gallery, your monitor's screen resolution is set lower than this site is ment for...

...My mom has the same thing on her computer, but doesn't change it because she doesn't see well...

polenta, I think you see things very clearly. You've summed up what this site should really be about. It is like a big extended family. I've always loved that anyone of any talent can post their pictures here. Sometimes the doodles and stuff done by little kids is just so fun you can't help but be drawn in by it. Sometimes the deeply layered work is so amazing it absolutely boggles the mind. I too hope we can get past this and become a not too terribly disfunctional family again. (Though if your family is not disfunctional at all your just not doing family right)
