I want to be able to arrange my gallery page so I have have my favorites showing first with their vote count instead of comment count. To be able to have a pull-down for most recent ECT would be great too.

DM, our personal gallery is already displayed as 'most recent' at the top. We can also click a pull-down to display our own gallery as 'highest rated' or 'most ratings' at the top, although that reverts to 'most recent' as soon as we leave our own gallery.

However, the requests to show our own gallery (as well as the main gallery) displayed with vote count, rather than with comment count, does seem to make a lot of sense. I'm sure we all enjoy the comments on our drawings but the number of comments often bears no relation to the number of votes cast, especially where there is banter between to or three people ... or where the comments relate to something else entirely.

I won't muddy this thread with the 'comment = vote' issue, but it is bound to come up again if and when we get the change that we are asking for here, because without their being linked, we will have to go searching through our gallery to find the treasured comments.

i thought what we were asking for was the ability for each artist to self sort their own gallery... would be nice to view someones pics in order of their personal favorites... perhaps i am wrong...

I think that'sa great idea and not selfish at all. The artist should be able to arrange his/her work. I enjoy looking at all the great art.

I agree with Matthew.

We should be able to pick out own faves. Our page is so "ours" it isn't even funny.

But whenever we respond to a funny challenge or just doodle we infect our "best" with our very worst.

I got caught (by myself - I swear) cheating recently. But not to affect any outcome - just trying desperately to rearrange my own damn pages.

yup... I can think of at least one instance where I refused to submit any new work for a full week, because doing so was going to push a picture off my "most recent 6" group, where I hoped it was still attracting some attention and interesting comments.

Login thanks for that correction; I didn't realize that even though I do use those features without thinking about them much. Matthew is right this is about being able to edit our own gallery page so others could see our favorites. This is not about votes, it would just be my preference to be able to see the vote count when I go to my page.

Thanks Matthew for keeping the subject on track, I know this stirs up other feelings and wishes but let's talk about this one issue for Rachel to read/think about.

Well.. I know I asked to be able to choose which pics are shown on your profile page back on 5th Feb (thread called My Profile), which I think was the first time it had been raised and which was only a sub-set of the options requested here.

My question to Rachel is.. are ANY changes planned to the profile / gallery / showcase / search options ? .. and if so, what are they ? [pretty please ?]
