Hiding Showcase and then revealing when the last due date would be so easy. All Rachel would have to do is change the showcase address and then change it back when she are to see the results. The gallery pictures would then have to not show how many votes it was getting for this to work. I would like to see just a vote buttons. I'm thinking 3 vote buttons may work like for 5, 10, 20 or some other amounts. These would mean 1 vote, 2 votes, 4 votes. Then if we were all allowed to vote twice the votes would be from 1 vote to 6 votes with each vote being worth 5 points. A six vote would actually be a 30 point vote so that would be the limit of votes we each could give each drawing. I think we should not be allowed to vote on our own drawings if this system is used. Can anyone check this somehow to see if it can work? Of course no use testing it out if the votes in gallery could be hidden in some way that was easy to show when the showcase has ended. Anyone else have any ideas, let see if we can come up with anything new that may work.

Just thought of one more thing that would have to be worked out and put in place for my idea to work. Our other pictures in gallery and the owner hidden as well, I don't know if that could be done.

We wouldn't nessesarily need to hide the showcase, if it were displayed in 'Most Recent' order and the vote were hidden then we could still see the showcase without it being a Who's on top? kind of a thing.
I know I would really like the showcase to have a most recent option regardless. I usually would like to see the newest ones rather than have to scroll past the ones I've already seen.
I wouldn't be against hiding the votes altogether except to the artist themselves. So only I could tell how many votes were given to my pics.

Dragon, wow, I like every idea you have here. Having the votes known only to the owner is a good idea then those that think they have to be top dog whether they are top dog or not with not get that itch tickled.
