I learned the hard way that save draft is limited... I did a goth pic that had hundreds of pieces to it. I saved it for my wife to see before I submited it... When I brought it up to show her, only half of my work loaded... So I assume that save draft will only save the first 1-200 pieces... Usually this will not be an issue, just want y'all to be aware...

I had the same thing happen, and I didn't have even that many pieces.

Well, I am only guessing at the cut off number... but if I were to put money on it, I would say it was right at 100...

There shouldn't have been a cutoff number at all - especially not without warning anyone. It was a bug in the system that was cutting off the drafts.

We have now fixed the 'Save draft' feature so that it should save the whole picture, although I guess it may be some time before you trust it again.

Once again, sorry for the lost work and inconvenience.

It happened to me as well. I thought sure I had saved my work but I thought maybe I hadn't. For my situation, I didn't lose to much and was able to redo and finish what I was doing.

I got a picture in draft now. I expect bugs since it is so new.

I did a picture recently and saved the draft three or four times without any problems and actually it's really cool to watch it create in front of your eyes.

the save draft function seems to work best if you use it often.
i had almost finished one just like matt and lost half of it, but other times when i used it several times it worked great

There still seems to be some limit to the number of pieces you can use in save draft. When I did my frog pic, I saved it before I submitted it. When I pulled it back up half my flower was gone. Thankfully that wasn't too much work to recover.

The limit is probably like a million - I did tons of layering and was covering up unsatisfacory work instead of undoing it. Next time I'm doing something with so much work I'll probably hit the undo button a lot more!

Sorry I didn't post earlier but life has been too busy! With such a high limit I was hoping no one would run into the problem -- but heads up in case you're working on a complex picture!

The night before last I loaded a draft that I had worked on and off for at 5 hours! Went to click "submit", frozen!!!! I had to shut down and reboot. Nothing was saved. There I was at 3:30 a.m. starting over again! It's probably the piece amounts, whatever amount that is. It's a sick feeling isn't it?

you all just need to do REALLY easy pics that take no longer than an hour in total and can be done in one go, then u never use the save draft and dont have the problems heheheh

helpful advice... i know!
