Here's my self-portrait, or, as my former coworker referred to my robin collection: "shrine to self". lol

Qsilv, didn't you do a self-portrait in February? Perhaps I jumped to conclusions and it's not a self-portrait. It looks like an oil painting, done with a palette knife. You called it "On a good day .. "

(eyeing Login a trifle speculatively... and beginning to laugh..)
Well... I've heard it said that every artist always draws themself. It's the face we know best, after all. BUT... that one would involve the basic bone structure and then a WHOLE lot of artistic license!

Thanks for clarifying that, Qsilv ... I still think it's a great 'painting'.

I was determined to do a self portrait this evening. Portaiture is definitely not in my comfort zone.

Mum23 asked which of my self portraits I thought were closest to me: I'll have to say a mixture of the first two portraits. My face is too thin in the 2014 portrait. Here are my various attempts at self portraits in the past four years:

2014 http://www.thinkdraw.com/picture.php?pictureId=203778 Current
2010 http://www.thinkdraw.com/picture.php?pictureId=107122 10 years ago
2009 http://www.thinkdraw.com/picture.php?pictureId=72643 30 years ago
2010 http://www.thinkdraw.com/picture.php?pictureId=100627 35 years ago

Meaning the first two pics listed from 2014 and 2010 are closest to me.

This is sort of a self portrait - just an undead version.

Cathy, Baldur, Mrozowsky and Bugoy, please would you paste your self-portraits in the mum's topic: http://www.thinkdraw.com/forumPosts.php?topicId=894

This is the link I put in the index "galleries on the forum", so it would better to find them all gathered toghether there
