I think I speak on behalf of everybody when I say... I think we would like to do a pole dancer showcase... ummmm... No... Then again |

I assumed there would be a February holiday theme that would be diverse: Black History month, Presidents Day, Valentines Day.... |

I think you should consider people from all around the world use this site... Winter sports when it is 40'C and even when it is winter, we don't have snow, was a bit of a stretch of the imagination. Altho looking at all the cool snow pictures made me jealous as I sat in the aircon and tended to my sunburn. How about "pictures from home" or "native wildlife" or "national emblems" to showcase where people come from? |

now watch out, matthew will suggest 'Pole Dancers of the World'. |

I agree with Baldur. The "Where in the World" series is entertaining. It could have a long run and could involve evryone, no matter what the climate in their part of the world. |

I absolutely agree with Ernie about a more worldwide or generic showcase. I've no idea what Black History month is and though it might be educational to us non US citizens, we wouldn't feel included. Many of us hve done tributes to famous artists, it's a shame that those didn't form part of a showcase and lynspotter's where in the world series was fantastic! So something for everyone please. |

Why not February holidays? Then show the top 5 in each category? I think it might be fun. |

OK - internationally, why not have as a category sometime, international events. That would cover a multitude of things. Here in the U.S. most of us are familiar, or could search the internet. No problem. It would teach us some things too. |

I really like the idea of having multiple themes going on, because it does seem that having a focus/challenge not only helps get our creative juices flowing, it helps in getting our stuff viewed a little more carefully too. And that turns out (rather to MY surprise anyway) to be a significant part of the fun! |

ernie~ you should appreciate that when I saw 'winter sports', I googled and found sports from down under! That's where my 'mountain climbing down under' came from! |

How about 'flags of the world' and 'birds' for showcases? The 'tributes to the artists' is also a wonderful showcase idea. |
||

Another idea is 'signs of the zodiac' ... |

Black History Month is held at different times of the year, depending on what country you are in, so perhaps that would not work as an international theme. |
