does anyone else not like our new toy-the playback button or whatever.Dont get me wrong, i love it. . . . .but i hate it. My computer is extremely slow so i have to wait for at least 5 minutes for each picture to load, even if im not planning on seeing how it was made. So now i can't look at any pictures unless i want to wait for 5 minutes-which i dont. Some of the pictures are worth waiting for it to load just to see it or how it was made, but still.I hate to complain, i REALLY do, but half of the fun of thinkdraw(looking at other peoples pictures)has been taken away-for me anyway.i think that there should be an button to turn off this new feature-i CAN'T be the only one with this problem. so pretty please with sugar on top. . . at least consider a button to turn it off.

p.s.does anyone else have this problem?

I was just getting ready to comment on this. I think I already entered a comment but nothing was said. It's really time-consuming if you want to see something. I still vote since it's viewable in the gallery. As you said, the fun is gone. Most of mine are ok. Very few of anyone else's will work. I don't understand it. I've waited longer than 5 min.

SAME FOR ME. IT TAKES FOREVER TO LOAD ANYTHING, THAT IS IF IT LOADS AT ALL.

Thank you, now I know it's not me.

I think the longest I've had to wait was about 1 minute, and that was on a super complicated one.
I do find time of day makes a difference too.
I have Vista and haven't had trouble loading, so I don't think it's a compatibility issue.
I did think it would be a good idea to choose if you want to have the option for playback when you view a pic. So you would bring up the pic and there would be a button "Do you want to view Playback?" If you choose to then it would load for playback.
I'm not very computer savvy so I don't know how complex that would be to implement.

I LOVE the playback feature because it lets you see behind the pic and learn from it, but I also have to admit that I click on less pictures now because it takes so long to load. I still do as time allows, but before I clicked on almost every new picture, which I just can't do now. But the feature's still new, it might still get refined a bit...?..?

Dragon - that's a great idea. Well, compatibility ruled out.

I'm upset because I can't enjoy the full picture, I have to look as the gallery shot and can't always get the full impact of the drawing. I say, make playback optional.

Making playback optional _is_ do-able but messy and probably not high on their list of priorities just now.

I have a suggestion that MIGHT help most of you in msie or firefox browsers--
................open TD in more than one tab (ie tabbed page) at a time.

Let a full playback picture be loading in one tab while you're looking thru forums, gallery, or private full gallery in a second tab... yes those will be slowed down a tiny bit too but not hugely while the playback is loading. Your computer will offer more resources to the page you're actually looking at.

I typically have 4 or 5 TD pages open at a time (plus several others).
It does NOT seem very effective tho' to have more than one flash playback loading at a time... that does bog down the system.

I am having a hard time getting any pictures to load also. And I don’t have a save draft option either. What’s Up!

Try the Logout button at top right corner. Then log on again. If that doesn't cure the problem, try rebooting the computer. Good luck.

I don't know if this will make a difference, but try checking to see if you have Adobe Flash 10 installed. I tried several different complex pictures, and the slowest loaded in 25 seconds. If you go to this link it will tell you what version you have: http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/

Thanks for your feedback.

1020 I think you summarized the problem perfectly, and speeding up the playback function is the very next thing we are planning to do.

Please be patient, and we hope to have you freely viewing and commenting on pictures as soon as possible.
