Not a new topic, When is the "Save" and "Load" feature going to be corrected. I have lost everything I have tried to save and, of course, no longer leave a project unfinished which is difficult. I have others waiting to use this computer. Help!!!!

Km, I had problems lately of a different kind. I cured the problem by logging out of TD and also rebooting. I don't know which action did the trick but I'm guessing it was logging out and logging in again. Either way, it worked.

mmm... this may be one of those tips that seem so obvious, no one ever actually tells you...

If you're running Windows (ie. Microsoft on a PC vs an Apple/Mac, or Linux etc) --- you have GOT to reboot at LEAST once a day. More often if you're doing anything graphics-intensive. (Yes, that would include TD, folks.)

The reason? Windows opens and closes a lot of little operations inside itself, but it doesn't do a good job of clearing up behind itself, so gradually the system gets overloaded, slows down, and.. yep.. hangs. Crashes.

Think of it like this-- you're cooking on a nice clean countertop, and you never quite thoroughly wipe up after each step... see the bits of flour and splattered egg and milk building up...??

Rebooting is one of the first things I tried. As mentioned, I have to finish what I'm working on now...hard to do because of time. Another thing is the replay, that's really taking up too much time for me. I still comment since I see it in the gallery. I hate to complain about the feature, it is nice, but not for me all of the time.

P.S. I am running on Windows Vista, and had mentioned on another forum that I thought it might be compatibility problems?

sigh.. me too... as of just this past week and I'm still sorting it out. Vista is a notorious resources hog, tho it's better now than when it first came out.

I'd suggest you check your security settings, but I have to say, I've noticed your comment in a few places that the Flash playback is working on your own drawings, just not on other people's, and that one totally puzzles me. I'll think about it some. (smiles)

I have Vista on my laptop and have never had any problems with it (in regards to Thinkdraw anyways, I won't go into my non-TD related Vista problems!)

I can't bring up the current gallery and don't even know if the post I'm reading are cuttent! Also, for 2 days could not draw, as no tools only a frame! Now I can draw but don"t know where it is! Ever since playback I've had problems! Pics don't come up when I vote and make a comment. It's crazy!!

lilalee - I agree. It takes forever for a picture to load. I think it should just be an optional thing. I had problems with TD a day or so ago. I'm not happy loosing work that I've put a great deal of time into. I'm having problems with the Save, Load and now Submitting. Don't take the wrong way, but, I'm it's happening to others. I've complainedmentioned a week or two about this Save and load.

I would have cried if I had lost that "Faces" picture. It took me almost 3 hours. Can't even save, that's bad too!

Dragon: I have Vista too. I feel it's the program (TD's). No disrespect intended...

Qsilv - Re the playback feature and it's not working on my computer. I'm thinking it's taking sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo long to playback. I really don't want to sit and wait. I still vote since I can see the galler pic. But I do think it really is time consuming even though it's a cute/nice feature. I don't want to be too choosy since this is a free site and beggars can't be choosers?

P.S. I'm not calling anyone names, it's just a saying, if you're not paying for it don't keep asking for things, and I feel myself going deeper into quicksand here. You all know what I mean, no offenses and my apologies. Just be quiet Kathy!

It might make things quicker to have a function that we could turn the playback feature on or off. Sometimes I just want to see the picture.
Maybe when we go into the picture there could be a Playback on/off button. Then we could decide if we wanted to wait for it to load for playback. (Do you think I could say playback a few more times in this post?)
