...or "Doubling Up" or even "Double Entendre" if you like.
This is a theme that's been occurring a bit lately ...I'm not sure if it's just my imagination pounding on the doors, demanding to come out and play, or if others of you are doing it deliberately, but it just seems to me that you can soooo often read more than one meaning into each entry. Hmmm?
Stealing shamelessly from bugoy1 (whose fault it is.. nodnodnod), the constraint is that you can ONLY use pieces from the 2nd position of each of the 11 images in your chosen palette.
ie Rotate each piece ONE TIME... and then leave 'em all there... work with THOSE 11 pieces!
(Yes, we can adjust their sizes up and down.)
I found the idea of working with such a limited palette fascinating --and you guys produced remarkable work last time! Please come play here again? ;>
We'll give it two weeks... that works pretty well for most of us, right? So Feb 16, the Sunday after Valentine's.... Good Luck!

Well, since it's my fault (nods) that you are doing this challenge, here is my entry for you.

Ohhhhkaaay --I'm impressed! Glad it was 2 weeks, too, so Clo got in (and I'm glad her net's back up too). I may sneak back and tuck one in later myself... these threads never really die, you know.
Whenever you discover you've done one that really fits, just haul the theme back up and add yours into it. It'll stay at the front again for a little while... great exposure!
But now I have to choose who to hand the baton off to.
Since these aren't actual "contests" but "challenges" (according to DMarcella who instigated 'em way back when), each host gets to choose whom to pass the baton to based on whatever personal reason or pure whim!
Let's see here...
chirping1's got 4 entries, using Animals, Beads, Gothic, and Space... including those adorable cows --and overall work that just keeps getting stronger and stronger.
bugoy1, ever honorable, offered a doozy... Towers of Flowers, in Lunartics... I keep seeing a honeybee busily waving everything it's got.
Normal is playing with music... her first instrument being Fruit(!), then Goth (which startled the best laugh out of me), and finally Candy for a quick, fond salute to the immortal best natured child.
Lizzi used a single star from Space to call home for Pinkie (and yes, we miss Karbs too)... and then made up for only using one piece by using Space again to create one of the most gracefully waving gardens ever... all pastel lupine-like spikes... love it!
cathyallheart fashioned a sweet profile in Candy and then formed Flower petals simply and strongly into an expressive face.
Baldur brought us the pan pipes and wickedly glowing eyes of an enticing little critter in a sylvan glade ...a kind of Bead tapestry.
indigo, whose pattern sense just blows me away, produced a magical land of shadowed boulders and futurist metallic towers in Beads. (ARE those tempting berries edible?)
five ---ohhhyeah... a glorious atmosphere... huge translucent bubbles in a half-threatening sky, floating over a beach with a mysterious pearl....
I never thought we could get better transparency than beads... pfff... properly used, Space is even more powerful!
and clo ...the brand new Valentine theme!!!
Thanks so much for playing...
(smiles....
and slips the baton...
to...
five... in heart-hopes of yet another silliness that'll seduce me away from what my mind knows I ought to be doing instead...)

Well done to Five for gaining the baton
Qsilv..many thanks for your compliments about my work but to save my blushes can I just point out that the one in Gothic is by Janice. I put it on the forum for her so don't want to be given credit for someone elses work.
