ThinkDraw

Hi all,

Does anyone have the time and inclination to help moderate the showcases? It is a very quick process to remove pictures that clearly don't belong, please let me know if you want to help...

Thanks,

Rachel

Good on you, jaybuddy..

..but Rachel.. this has been an issue since way back when - I just checked back and if you look at :
http://www.thinkdraw.com/forumPosts.php?topicId=223&s=20#lastPost

you'll notice that people adding things to the showcase has always been a problem.

If I may (and awfully sorry if I sound like I'm harping on a point), I'll repeat my comment from way back then (lordy - April 2009 !) :
----------------------
Firstly - I think Rachel's change to the 'showcase' option is great ! [it now says what the showcase is]

But, just an idea - how about if you couldn't add a pic to the showcase when you first submitted it ? .. i.e. you submit your picture and THEN you can go in and edit it, to add it to the showcase ?

I just thought that might stop newbies from submitting pictures unintentionally..
------------------

I think prevention is much better than cure in the case of the Showcase - especially if it means that one TDer might get the right to determine that someone else's picture wasn't suitable.

People who had problems adding their pic could always ask for help - or maybe there could be a help icon that tells them all about the difference between the gallery and the showcase ?

may be it could help adding a question point to the showcase check box, or a pop up, that explain what the showcase is?

I am at home nursing my new hip and I can spare the time to help with showcase. Just let me know what you want!

My egg in the basket = Rachel give us a hint in the form of a little picture at both ends of the headline.

My egg in the basket. Rachel give us a HINT in the form of a LITTLE PICTURE on both ends of the HEADLINE. Example: FLIGHT showcase showed a PLANE but end up with beautiful birds in flight. That confused me totally!!! I think whatever we draw must have the CLUE element included in the picture. THANK YOU, RACHEL FOR A WONDERFUL SITE!!!!
