Does anyone know how to get rid of the 'cafe press' shopping advert panel at the bottom of the page when you're in 'Draw' mode ?

.. or am I the only one to find it really annoying ?

Baldur

Baldur just scrolls the page down an inch or so and 'voila' it is gone.
I visit a site for a local discount outlet store that always gets it righthand column banished off my monitor.

Hmm, can't scroll it out of sight on my screen ... but maybe it's a small price to pay for a free place to draw and chat in a calm, friendly atmosphere. Your Christmas card is there, Baldur ... quite nice to see that some of TD artwork gets out into the big wide world.

Hold down the Control key and click the + key (as many times as you want).
This "zooms in" on the page.
Handy for detail work too.

Ctrl and the Minus key ( - ) zooms back out
Ctrl and the Zero resets to "normal" (whatever that is).

If it doesn't seem to be working, you've probably already been clicking inside the drawing area. Click your cursor out around the page margins. Or on another page entirely --it will affect most pages that are open under different tabs in your browser at the same time.

Q, I've said it before and I'll say it again ... you're a star. Now must make time to play with the 'new' toy.

'allo.. so sorry for the long delay in replying, but I was on my holidays

However, before I went, I checked out everyone's ideas and alas, it seems I must learn to cope, as Login suggests.

I really can't stand the magnified view - I seem to remember, way back when, my picture would suddenly zoom like that because I'd inadvertently clicked on something, and I had to abandon some absolutely wonderful pictures (trust me, they were brilliant !).

I'm also beginning to think that the way I see something is what I try and draw - and as I'm short sighted (well, some ELFs have to be), the background tends to be a bit hazy in my pics and the foreground is clear - and if things don't line up, it's because my reckoning is out - sorry

Happy new year 2013 to everyone, anyway, and thank you so much Rachel (et al) for allowing me to whinge about something that I'm more than happy to accept as a price of being a TDer.

psst... marg... dunno 'bout you but I like fairly basic, not to say downright primitive, fixes...
stick a small yellow post-it note over the silly thing!

And yes, happy happy new year! (I'm not tooooooo jealous of the Hols...) ;>

LOL, Qsilv..

Funnily enough, I really did have a think about all the suggestions - and actually just adjusting the bottom end of the window upwards works wonderfully !

I'll try and draw a pic of me with my beautiful dark tan and relaxed smile (and trimmed up muscles from all the swimming in the perfect, warm sea), but that may take some time..

.. but you know my thoughts are with you

my thoughts...I'm a new member, & to be very honest, the thing that motivated me to stay with this site was the friendliness of those who left comments. I started doing that with a new member, my guess is that she's in her teens, & it appears that this is 'snowballing' into a good thing. I see that quite a few members already do that, and its wonderfully encouraging, especially for the very young new members who get discouraged by not getting the recognition of a Top 5 posting at the end of the month. (Problem is, as seen last week, if someone leaves many comments on their own drawing, they get undeserved recognition by getting on board at the top of the gallery. Is it possible to leave comments left by oneself, out of the count?)
Ok, back to my original thought, I enjoy encouraging a responsive member, its fun for both of us, but does create 'issues'. Any ideas out there?

I just realized that I should have added a new title...but I don't know how!

marg

Ooh, ooh.. I can answer that !

.. but firstly, you have to appreciate that the Think Draw Feedback forum is supposed to only be used for communicating with Think Draw - and so sorry, I don't always think about that

So...

- click on the 'Community' hyperlink, on the left, under Forum (on the Forum page)

- scroll down to the bottom and then click on the 'Start New Topic' hyperlink, in the centre of the footer

- copy and paste your excellent comments into your new topic - and I , for one, will definitely respond

Hmm.. just reread your post, bayofquinte, and I realised that part of it is, in fact, a request to TD to discount the comments that people put on their own pictures..

.. so hey, now you have to start at least two new posts in two different forums

thanks Marg, your assistance is appreciated. ....
