five

My goals this year include going back to taking an exciting and interesting vacation. I am looking for recommendations on places to visit! Short or long trips.

This can be a collective resource for all of us, I think.

Thanks in advance.

Hazer

I look forward to seeing the entries in this thread, five! What a good idea to open this thread!

I plan on being in New York for a couple of days at the end of September this year and would like to know what (on a limited budget, mind you) are the must see recommendations.
I plan on boarding a cruise ship from there and visiting Newport, Boston, Bar Harbor, Saint John, NB, Halifax, Sydney, Corner Brook and finally, Quebec City and Ottawa. I enjoy learning the history of the places I visit, and in fall the colors should be spectacular.

I guess it would help to know your interests, five. Of course I always recommend the beautiful Canadian Rockies! Hiking, skiing, white water rafting, the wildlife...wonderful!

well, Italy is quite far away... but in case, let me know if you'll chose to visit Rome!

A lot of friends I know are using this site which has reasonable prices for rooms or entire apartments for use on vacation anywhere. You can have your own space or be a"guest". Also the places are available from people you can communicate with who have been checked out and there are reviews on the site.

I have no business connection to this ...It just seems a good way to save and be safe.

Dragon

I've only really been to Mexico and the southern US but my folks went to Spain and Gibralter a few years ago and loved them.

BTW Hazer, my brother in law is from Corner Brook, I've never been but the photos he's shown us look wonderful. I'd love to get out to Newfoundland someday.

Five, if you ever find yourself in Central Alberta come by Chez Dragon, I make a very fine Margarita here.
