A big thanks to Lizzi for passing the baton to me. A few weeks ago, in the late fall here, and a fairly chilly day, I was walking on the beach and came upon the scene of a teenaged girl in the water just where the waves were breaking. She was wearing jeans and a sweater and was posing for a woman, I assume was her mother, who was taking pictures of her. It was a gorgeous day and they were laughing and having a great time. I thought that those pictures were going to be so good because the subject matter was so unexpected and I even commented to the mother that I thought so. That is my challenge to you. Draw something that would be totally unexpected or incongruous as the subject matter. I will give this one three weeks because of the holidays. I will pass the baton on Friday, December 30. |

Sorry for the delay in passing the baton. I was hoping you would find time to submit more entries. Hope everyone has enjoyed their holidays. There were only a few entries to this challenge. Thanks so much to everyone who found the time. It is such a busy time of year. I am choosing Shanley's drawing "Magic on a winter night" as the winner of this challenge. This is a dreamy drawing that certainly portrays the unexpected. I really hope that she/he will be able to spend more time with us and present the next challenge to you. Congratulations. |

Hi everyone! This is a very nice surpise, so I'd like to thank Mdawrcn for this honor. I've been away for the past 10 days so I'm sorry if I kept the challenge on stand by. I'll post the new challenge as soon as I fin some interesting theme. It won't take very long , I promise. |
