In this day and age I wonder what the general feeling is about proper marriage. I know that each and every person is free to embrace his own kind of life as seems fit to him. Scientific genetic engineering has made the almost impossible become possible, however don't you think that what is natural cannot be tempered with! I know that most people wown't agree with me However........

If by "proper marriage" you mean 2 people who love each other (regardless of race, gender etc) taking vows to make their promise of continued love and faithfulness official then absolutly, I'm all for it. In fact in Oct I'll be taking those vows myself with my sweetie.

I do think it's very personal though, not everybody wants to get married. It's up to each couple to decide for themselves.

I'm not sure what the genetic engineering comment is about in this regard though.

I agree with Dragon; it's up to the individual.
The one thing that worries me is the number of children being born who don't know their father. It's becoming so common that it may soon be impossible to avoid pairing off (unknowingly) with close blood relatives. Are we moving towards vast populations of inbreeds or will the tide turn on promiscuity? I don't know the answer.
