I agree with you, Shanley. I still haven't mastered what we've got ... there's so much more in there to be discovered. As Stevedover said in another thread, the standard is going up all the time and gives us all more to aim for (not exactly those words but that was the gist). |

As a matter of fact, I feel I have still much to discover in EACH theme, including the oldiest, as animals or flowers. Expecially I feel that beads, animals and avatars offer infinite possibilities to our community of artists that we still not imagine. And I'm just beginning to step into the gothic theme, wich is the more ostic for me. |

Posting pictures in that way on forums would be great, I tried recently to post Stan and Ollie side by side and made a complete mess of things lol, also I worry that if Danny was to agree to all of those suggestions that the theme would lose the puzzle element which makes a picture rewarding, each theme on offer can be explored to match the style and texture of the picture you are hoping/wishing to create. That's not to say that there isn't room for some improvements, just please keep things in perspective. |

Well, I'd love fabrics since TD and especially the beads theme has already inspired me to make fabrics. |

mmmm.. I agree totally with Qsilv, in just wanting some usable whites and blacks.. |

I would like to explain that when I told about fabric I referred to a new theme and not to a new showcase. In other words, the bits of the palette could be inspired to "fabrics" theme, that means not only tucks of fabric, but also reels, balls of wool, trimmings, buttons, press-studs, zips, needles and pins, scissors, and every tailor's tool... there are thousand of possibilities. |

I am fairly new to TD and can put names to many fantastic pictures on here and would love the next theme to be self portraits so I can have some idea what all these amazing artists look like! |

I am so new I thought you were after a suggestion of a theme to a showcase! Sorry.... forgive my ignorance! |

Hi Chrissy - there has been a challenge some time ago about self-portrait: maybe someone should be able to pic it up. It would be nice to add there the selfportraits of the new entries |

I've seen a few self portraits. I'm not sure I'd be able to do anything which looks like me but I'd love to see everyone else's attempts. I already have a picture in mind of everyone so i'm sure there would be many surprises! |

Like Chrissyjoy, I too would like some of the very talented artists who do such good portraits to give us self-portraits as well. Caricatures would be acceptable of course! - for the more modest artists. Portraits seem so very difficult to me, but I'm willing to try ... |
