No worries... Just a thought...

As far as fixing the voting issue, everyone (and I do mean EVERYONE) agrees that accumulative voting is the way to go & that it solves all the problems...

...Unfortunately...

Nearly 2 years of asking for it should be proof enough that Think Draw will never do it (God only knows why)...

...So I was just throwing out other suggestions (since I am not on enough anymore to care one way or the other)...

I agree that we should not "elect" members to police the site for "offenders" of any stripe. How on earth could you decide who was the culprit in any case? If you DO know who is offending you, the best policy is probably to ignore them. If we all were aware, we all could ignore.
I cannot imagine how you believe you could "know!"

As a relatively new TDer I first assumed the voting system was 1-5 for what? Artistic excellence, wit, effort, title, use of palette, etc. Then I read about down-voting - what was that? As I am non-competitive I found what I valued was the comments on my drawings (for which many thanks for really helpful ones from obviously good artists). I found it impossible to vote where the choice is between real artists, children and doodlers - it's not a level playing-field. If I voted, which I decided best not to, then it might go to the drawing that made me smile or laugh just as much as a beautiful "painting".

I agree Five...I really don't like the voting either...not that those that get picked don't deserve it but to others it can be discouraging to always see the same people getting voted and not them.

I've always thought the 1-5 voting to be nonsense, I like the comments and chatting with people.

I don't think voting should be taken too seriously, when me and my young daughters started on here they were going to naively give beautiful pictures a 3 or a 4 because they liked the picture, not to down vote anyone. I quickly realised every vote should be a 5 or it brings the total down but I'm not sure young children see the significance. I have had to tell my daughters just to vote a 5 or not at all. It would be better if it was either a vote or no vote but maybe this isn't possible.

I don't know if this is old news or not, but I haven't seen any "low voting" happening to anyone for a while. I just went to one of my pics to change the name of it and after I clicked on Save edits, I noticed the score on it was a 4.62, and was a little disappointed. I had not voted on the pic. When I went back and gave the pic a 5 vote, the average went up to a 5. There seems to be a little glitch where a person can down vote themselves accidentally. Be careful.

When I comment on any picture, I vote to maximum, I think, it does not harm to give 5.Moreover I like to chat with people through the picture. I enjoy that very much.

i do feel bad, when i get down voted, But if everyone votes a 5 then i don't know what they feel. i don't know if the pic is truely good.
