Today would have been my 38th wedding anniversary. I kept myself busy with work and went to visit some friends this evening.

Thanks guys. I checked and his pictures are of the main blog but he is featured in the birthday category, so hopefully you saw the right one.

Just a note for those of you that know a bit about my story...I have sold all five of my horses to my late husbands sister. I know she will love them and take good care of them. I'll be able to visit them whenever I visit his family, too.
Today I sold another one of our vehicles, an SUV that is really too big for what I need now. One more to go and I can claim my garden space back.

Ah Hazer. It is a long road. I sold my big house and now in a lovely complex with a small garden. I gave most of the furniture to Child Welfare or Hospice. Slowly things come in to place, but it is not easy. My Tom will have been gone three years next month. Stll miss him so much and I don't think the feeling will ever go. You are in my prayers.

Thank you arty! I remember the sadness I felt as I read your posts following your husbands death, little knowing that we would soon begin our own journey.
I currently have two friends who may not survive the year. Cancer is such a cruel disease.

I just called my daughter this morning and she told me that there had been an explosion at her neighbors house which is two doors down from them, and the place was engulfed in flames. She was getting ready to evacuate but called me back about a half hour later to say the fire was under control. Onlookers thought they saw the elderly couple who lived there drive away but no one is certain at this point. Scary stuff. Please pray no one was injured.
