Had to post this neat time lapse video made up of photos taken by the International Space Station as it orbited the earth.

haha, funny that marius and I both posted different Space station videos.

Robin, it is a destination wedding. We're heading off to Playa del Carmen in Mexico. Most of the details are arranged, I don't think I could ever be completely ready. But the forms are filled in, the deposits are paid, the dress is bought (purchased entirely with the profits from my cattoys!) and is being altered right now. We're having trouble figuring out what song to use for when we leave the alter together though. We're both big fans of classic rock so we're kinda hoping to find something in that genre that's appropriate (I'm walking down the aisle to an instrumental version of Eric Clapton's Wonderful Tonight). We're playing with the idea of I Wanna Hold Your Hand but I'd be open to suggestions from my ThinkDraw friends.

Dragon, this song makes me cry every time I hear it and I always thought it would be beautiful at a wedding. James Taylor's "You Are My Only One"

Best wishes to you and your honey. I can't wait to hear about it.

Ooooh, I love James Taylor!!!

Or how about Journey, "Open Arms" http://www.thinkdraw.com/forumPosts.php?addReply=1&topicId=172

or the Eagles "Love Will Keep Us Alive"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C0_WAgwBR90

I have no idea how you would pick one song from the hundreds of good options! But good luck!

Now, regarding that song, "Wonderful Tonight" I have always loved that song as one of the best love ballads ever. But I heard a story about that song years ago, that sort of makes me chuckle now when I hear the song. I hope you'll enjoy the story, and that it in no way spoils the meaning behind the words, but I'm going to share it. Clapton was married to Pattie, who had been married to George Harrison when Clapton was inspired to write the song Layla about her. But that's another story. Anyway, he and Pattie had plans to go to an event that evening, and she was trying on dress after dress, taking forever. She would come out in another dress, and ask him how it looked, and he would say impatiently, "Yeah, yeah, you look wonderful tonight. Now let's go!" He actually wrote the song while he was waiting for her! LOL

A great wedding DJ I know made these suggestions-
James Taylor's or Jimmy Buffett's version of "Mexico" since you will be there
or
"Thank You" by Led Zeppelin" or "You're My Best Friend" by Queen

Thank you for all those song suggestions! That definitly gives us something to choose from.
Robin, I had heard that story about Eric Clapton, gave me a chuckle. Just for clarity, I'm nothing like that, I often end up waiting for him (never for long though, I certainly couldn't write a song in during the wait!)

I have a cute story you guys might enjoy. Earlier this week I answered the phone at work (for those of you who don't know I'm a receptionist at a vet clinic) and got a telemarketer. As always he asked to speak to the doctor who is also the owner of the business. As always I asked what it was regarding and got the answer "Oh, it's business related" so I told him the doctor won't answer the phone if he doesn't know what it's about and the guy explained about trying to sell advertising in some magazine. He, of course went on and on about what a great publication it was blah blah blah, yadda yadda yadda. So I put him on hold and go back to ask the doctor if he wants to talk to this guy even though I know he doesn't 'cause he never goes in for that sort of thing. As I expected he's not interested, so I go back on the phone and tell the guy "He's not interested but thank you for calling". Being more persistant than most of these guys he starts in on the "Oh well I really think he'd be interested if I could just have a half minute of his time..." I cut him off and told him the doctor was going into an appt (which he wasn't but I was done with being polite at this point). To that the guy responded "Boy, you are one ninja receptionist" I must say, that made my day. I finally had to hang up on him because I had clients to help but thanks to him I'm now known at the clinic as the Ninja-ceptionist. I'm thinking of having a new name tag made up.

Everyone should have a Ninja Receptionist, I bet that would end all the no-show appointments too.
