Thanks for the Little Rascal's stuff marius. Loved the cake! I somehow expected the dog to jump out of it at some point. I never did watch them, they were indeed a little before my time, I'll have to track some more down though, they're funny. Seems like just the kind of stuff I could see my brother getting into when he was little.

My cake was a Black Forest cake with a decided lack of hot water bottles in it, so yes, better than the Rascals cake if not quite so entertaining. Funny thing was my boss picked up the cake and he also got a carrot cake as well. He claims it was in case anyone else at work didn't like black forest cake but actually it was because HE doesn't like black forest cake. It meant I got two pieces of cake though so I don't really care what his motives were.

An old friend of mine, a lady of longstanding vegetarianism told me of her old workplace.
Every year there was a birthday cake for each employee. She noticed a trend that her cake was always a carrot cake.
Finally she asked why.
It was explained that because she was a vegetarian they didn't know what else would she would eat.
