Baldur

Ok, so Baldur is going crazy.
I have been on this site for ages and just noticed a new (to me) piece in Candy.
It's a near-black, near-rectangle at a slight angle. On the 'Draw' page it appears in the area with the Licorice Allsorts.
I don't seem to have ever used it. In researching I have found examples of it going back a couple months, was it always there?
HMMM

I Draw with candy quite a bit and have always utilized the shiny black jellybean, when this little slab of licorice would have worked much better.
I'm losing my mind

I should give credit where it is due. The picture that brought it to my attention is indigo's 'I'm playing too...'.

AuntieB

Baldur have you been in the oregano again?
That piece has ALWAYS been there.

Hello everyone, I trust that you are all well and that anyone in the path of hurricane Irene is battened down.
Auntie B is well out of harms way in Capetown this week.

I know just the piece you mean Baldur and Auntie B is right, it's been there from the beginning. I use it all the time, I find it one of the most useful pieces due to it's blackness and nice edges.

Somehow I keep fully expecting to see a proper purple in that candy palette!
But then, the major flaw with Fruits is lack of a decent blue.

Thanks for the garlic chives info, Baldur.
And Dragon (I'm catching up on your approaching life-event here)... warmest congratulations!

Stay safe, Baldur.

Here's a little something Dragon probably knows about but it it's the first I've heard of this lady. Wish there were more like her!

Lady mayor of Canada's 6th largest city for 33 years, and her city is DEBT FREE!!!!!! with a 700 million SURPLUS!!!!! in their budget

I had not actually heard of her before marius, but that was great. No wonder she keeps getting elected, I can't imagine why others would run against her.

Hope all is good at Boughbreak as Baldur and his household batten down the hatches to get through Irene's fury. (I also hope all his Garden Gnomes have storm proofed their gnome burrows or where ever they dwell, would be a shame if any of them got blown away.)

Watching the news and seeing flooding is rampant in Rhode Island and half the state is without power--hope you're safe, Baldur.

9295. 29 Aug 2011 05:40

Baldur

...still no electricity here, on the generator again. Primrose is as far away from the Atlantic as one can get in RI, we were spared the flooding.
Looking at the damnage now we suspect we had a mini tornado. Trees fell in twisted heaps and in every different direction.
We are all safe. None of the houses here were damaged.

Glad to hear you are all well and safe at Boughbreak! Hope the electricity comes back on soon and that all your gnomes, gardens and cats are fine too!

Here's a little fun something that goes along with Baldur's birthday listings. Click the link, scroll down the page a bit, enter in your birthdate/year and click submit. Results will tell many things about your particular birthdate. For example, the US population was about 150,697,361 when I was born. (Haha, I KNEW the traffic was more sparse when I was a kid, even when I first began driving!)

Apparently I am 20,805 days old. Is that all? Would swear I've lived more days than that! Have fun!

That's a cool site marius. I was not surprised to find out I was born on a full moon. I wonder if I'm were-Dragon.

To help out Baldur and not make him drain his generator I've prepared today's birthday list. (I'm afraid it's heavy on Canadians but I'm sure you'll all get by anyway)

Caligula, Wilhelmina HPM, queen of the Netherlands, James Coburn, Dan Rather, Jean Marc Beliveau, Van Morrison!!, Richard Gere, Zack Ward, Scott Niedermayer.
