What would your message be?

I requested a girly room, done with a '60's decor. Also the good stuff in your cookies, no carob for me. Did you think I meant the green good stuff?!!
Be careful with that chainsaw, as we are cheek to cheek attached.

My personal favorite was the jail cell float that cruised down Route 44 shortly after Martha Stewart was sent to prison.

There at the back of the float was a Martha double with Khaki trousers, a chambray shirt and straw gardening hat holding a basket of flowers and waving like the Queen to the crowds.
Behind her within the cell were rows of middle-aged female prisoners wearing black & white striped uniforms quietly doing arts & crafts with their hot glue guns.
It brought a tear to my eye.

Maybe they should have been more careful with their hot glue guns! Poor Baldur!

Baldur never has a message, will likely never be a prophet and refuses to vote Democratic no matter how marvelous the candidate is.
This year he voted mostly the green party ticket except in the case of a local man running for a minor office who had a stunning moustache.
We do all have our priorities.

Will have to retire to my chamber now Baldur. Don't put me at the same table as lilalee for breakfast will you?

Baldur

lilalee you can have the JoAnne Worley room.
The beaded curtains are faux pearls dyed a pale pink.
The wallpaper is best described as 'petaled paisley'
But best of all at midnight you get an apparition! none other than the ghost of Laura Ashley.

Alright, now for the rest of you... how many want the homemade brioche for breakfast and how many would rather have the French toast prepared using Portuguese sweet bread?

does Baldur or anyone have the recipe for portugese sweetbread? of course the brioche recipe would be lovely too. we are going to Hawaii next week and I always bring home some (slightly crushed) punaluu guava bread. which is nothing more than guava flavored portuese sweetbread. i dearly love that bread

Hey Baldur, there's a little tribute to one of your characters in my soul searching pic.

937. 5 Jul 2009 13:59

Baldur

Oh I love that Iam, but technically Dr Bear is not my character.

He was created by Tim42, but poor Tim never suspected that Baldur would steal the character and run with it.
Baldur created Dr Bear's evil Robotic twin, the famous Baron von Baren and several other minor characters in the saga.
Quite a few people contributed to that storyline.

Once again, Channnel Baldur provides entertainment superior to what can be found on satellite TV. It's been a gray, drizzly day here in the Tidewater area of Virginia, but Channel Baldur chased away the blues.

First, going back a few comments (Baldur has been pre-occupied with the holiday) I do not believe there is a recipe for Portuguese sweet bread here in my files.
Rhode Island has a large Portuguese community so it is readily available in the markets.

'All Baldur, All the Time'
Baldur spent yesterday evening in Manchester, Connecticut.
While Robert and I were invited to a cookout, that pretty much broke up by 6pm. Our host lived nearby and I must say the place was very cool. His home was on Penny Lane, just off of Abbe (Sic) Road. I thought that fairly amazing.
It was on top of a large hill and from the front lawn we had a great view of a most spectacular fireworks display. The show lasted from 9:30 to 10pm.
I was quite glad we spent the night.
