Enjoyed the Break-dance video! Normal was asking about fascinators so I googled it and here is the link. Until this wedding, I'd never heard of them...but this is hat-mad England.

Ah! See what we all have wrought in Auntie B.'s name?

Thanks, Lizzi! I still don't quite get what defines a fascinator!
However, I'm signing up for the sapphire feathers at 120 Pounds, next time I have an "Occasion." (Expect to hear the cracking of ice in the nether world.)

Normal, maybe the name 'fascinator' has to do with the fact that they do not have to be fitted - they just fasten to your head. Have a look at this site...Bea has had this disease for quite some time!

Some of those were actually quite nice... but most were just bizarre. I think Sarah Jessica Parker might like to get Bea's hatter's name.

Baldur had a brunch to attend this morning so he asked his dear Auntie B to take over hosting duties today.
This is the first time this show has be broadcast from London, how exciting is that?.

I must say the wedding was a delight. My hat was not the most ostentatious by far.
That however is perfectly alright, it was stunning in its own way,
Even Phillip complimented it while we danced at the reception.
Of course his eyes seemed to be everywhere but on my hat.

Delighted to have you with us, Auntie B.!
Lizzi ~ It's nice to see this disease did not suddenly attack her just for the wedding. At least she's consistent! It's a whole new world to my sheltered existence. I always thought hats sat on your head. Now it seems they just stick as they blow by.

My artistic skills are not on a par with everyone else's here on ThinkDraw.
It would be a mess if I tried to illustrate my hat so let me briefly describe it.
It most closely resembles Bo Dereks cornrow hairs-style from the movie '10'.
Only instead of braids it is comprised of rows and rows of the palest pink seed pearls threaded in thin strands. Each strand stops short of my shoulder.
I was told it contains in excess of 12,000 seed pearls.
There is no other adornment, just simple falls of tiny pearls. The 'shell' of the hat is rather like a skullcap but is completely buried in pearliness.

Auntie B is rather impressed with the entries posted for the wedding hat contest. A winner will be chosen later today.

Of course as any lady knows, my wedding hat is now officially retired.
The Victoria & Albert has expressed an interest in it for their textile division.
Perhaps it will be donated to them in my will, for now I would so hate to part with it.

It was nice chatting with you Normal.
Camilla has invited me to tea so I must dash off.
She is not at all as the press 'paints' her. It is a tragedy how things like that happen in this world.
She is a most charming woman. If more people got to know her public opinion would change.

My, what a difficult time Auntie B had judging this hat contest.
I must say all the entries had their own special touches that would make them stand out in any setting.
After much deliberation and imaginary primping in front of the mirror I found that autumn's hat had just the right blend of panache and "jenny say 'QUAH'"

Here is the winning design:
