Well, my sweetie and I fly off to Fabulous Las Vegas tomorrow. This will be the first time there for both of us and we're pretty excited. What makes it even better is that my half of the trip is totally paid for because it's a work thing. Of course that means that I'll have to attend several courses at the conference but that's a sacrifice I'm willing to make. We're really looking forward to going to see the Cirque du Soliel show Love (that's the Beatles one). We've heard it's fantastic and of course we're both big Beatles fans so it will be neat to see what they do with the music.

Of course this means I'll be absent from TD for a while but I'm sure you'll all manage to muddle along without me. hehehe

I saw a preview for that. It seems there are 2 gnome factions, those dressed in blue vs. those dressed in red.
Baldur should repaint the clothing on Boughbreak's gnomes so they are all dressed in paisley.

hehehe--paisley gnomes...indeed!! I have a rainbow colored gnome on a spinner in my front yard. He oversees the serenity of the yard and tries to scare away the rabbits that eat my flowers.

Today I went to a local Society of Friends (Quaker) Meeting House where each a month a free book swap is held

This was my second time there.
I was later telling an old friend in New Orleans of my great fortune in finding a copy of Thalassa Cruso's 'Making Things Grow'.
He said, 'Who?'
He had never heard of the woman.
She hosted a popular PBS program on growing plants here in the states in the late 1960s.
The solution seemed simple, I would find a clip of her on youtube and forward it to him.
There was nothing, not a trace of poor Thalassa. Not from her program nor from any of her many appearances as Johnny Carson's guest on the 'Tonight Show'.
The next step was to check Wikipedia, again she is not there.
Horrors!
The world has forgotten the incredible Thalassa Cruso.
A Google search did turn up mention of her death in 1997 by the New York Times.
