hey, bro.. please don't give up on being one of the TD marshalls..

I know how bad funerals and wakes can be, especially as these days they always seem to be for the best and bravest (or funniest, or most beautiful, or nicest..)

At the end of the day, we'd love you to keep being our cheerful Radio Baldur host [the show MUST go on !], and continue keeping an eye open for inappropriate forum entries.

CONGRATULATIONS BALDUR

Does anyone know anything about IN VITRO FERTILIZATION? Has anyone heard about a case or had first-hand knowledge?

I have heard of many cases, polenta. They used to result in multiple births, (anything up to six babies) but I believe the techniques have improved in the last couple of years.

Hazer

That's great news Baldur. I am expecting another grandchild in July. Is this your first?
Polenta, I too have heard of many cases but have no first hand knowledge.

Dragon

Congrats to the Grandpa to be! Have you decided yet what you'd like to be known as? Grandpa or Papa etc etc...

When my brother was expecting his first child my dad decided he wanted to be known as Crusty, thank god that didn't last.

Baldur

Thank you everyone.
Yes Hazer, this will be my first Grandchild.
As to titles, Dragon, I imagine that the current one used by the Californian branch of the family, 'Papi' (pronounced (pop-E'), will remain in effect.
Baldur thinks Grandpapi is too weird.

Normal

Polenta, I have at least one gorgeous in vitro 2nd cousin, starting college this year. No doubt MANY successful cases are among us these days.

wow, thanks everybody and Normal, what you say is great!! My niece had this procedure done in December and couldn't get pregnant. The topic is not loudly spoken in the family not to bother her but I wonder if we should encourage her to try again. That's why I wanted to know. What happened to other people could be good to know. I think it's a little troublesome and also quite expensive because it has to be done privately. Has anyone heard anything?
